May 18, 2019 / KANATA - Ontario Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Minister Todd Smith joined local Kanata-Carleton MPP Merrilee Fullerton on Thursday evening to meet with the Kanata North Business Association (KNBA) and discuss Ottawa's high technology business interests.  KNBA Chairperson Amy MacLeod and Executive Director Veronica Farmer provided a briefing on Kanata-North's current business climate.

Also on hand for a portion of the discussions was Ontario Labour Minister Laurie Scott. My ministerial colleagues and I appreciated hearing first-hand from Board members of the KNBA.

The next morning, Minister Smith was a guest to help launch Ottawa's new L5 test track for autonomous vehicles. Here we are seen with colleagues, local MPPs Lisa MacLeod and Jeremy Roberts

On a related note, in March, MPP Merrilee Fullerton released a “High Tech and Business Initiative” which identifies four pillars of sustainability and growth to advance the interests of high tech and business in Kanata and West Carleton.
