April 28, 2019 / WEST CARLETON -- The Ontario Premier travelled to Ottawa on Friday to join Kanata-Carleton MPP in reviewing the flood conditions throughout West Carleton.
Friday the Premier stated: “I just want to tell everybody in this region that we will be here to support them 1,000 per cent.” Full coverage of his stop in Constance Bay is in this Ottawa Sun news article.
On Sunday, MPP Fullerton was back on the scene and she commented: "A heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers out today at Constance Bay and at Armitage area and Fitzroy Harbour to help with the flooding response. First responders and members of the military are doing an amazing job."
The MPP was also out the previous week, on Easter Weekend, to help the sandbagging effort. Thousands of sandbags are needed every hour.
If you can volunteer, please make your way to the Dunrobin Community Centre and from there you will be shuttled to where crews are urgently needed. Access this City of Ottawa website for the most up-to-date information on flood efforts.
MPP Fullerton states: "Let's keep working together... help your friends, neighbours, and fellow citizens."
