June 14, 2021 -- Kanata-Carleton MPP Merrilee Fullerton is urging Ottawa residents to support their local business community when making any retail purchases or contracting services. The MPP’s message is straightforward: Shop Local and Support Our Community.
“With the province re-opening in the coming weeks, I hope everyone will consider shopping local,” says Dr. Fullerton. “In supporting local businesses you are supporting our community. Shopping at your local retail store provides employment for local people, carries the expenses of the store, and your money remains in the community.”
“Also, consider shopping from our local retailers making your on-line purchases. There are a number of on-line directories where you can find and click to support local stores.”
