Merrilee Fullerton glad to be “back home”

Kanata-Carleton Member of Provincial Parliament is returning from Queen’s Park after having spent most of the last seven weeks in Toronto in a rare summer sitting of the Ontario Legislature.

“I am very glad to be back home,” Merrilee Fullerton said. “Since the election, a lot has happened. It has been a whirlwind of activity at Queen’s Park. So, it is wonderful to be back home to spend the rest of the summer at community events and with residents in Kanata-Carleton.”

The MPP explained the Government has begun the hard work before it. “We are committed to making life more affordable and providing relief for families, creating a supportive business climate for our small and med-sized businesses, and bringing accountability back to government. I am pleased to say since July, we have delivered key initiatives that will help lower gas prices and reduce your hydro bills, and we are sending a clear message that Ontario is open for business.”

In a Toronto press conference yesterday, Todd Smith, Government House Leader and Minister of Government and Consumer Services released the Government’s Top 20 Accomplishments.

MPP Fullerton now has a busy two weeks through August. “I plan to get out to as many community activities as I can. I also want to finish unpacking my boxes of files in the Kanata-Carleton Constituency Office.”

"I hope to spend time with friends and family across Kanata and West Carleton and enjoy what is left of the summer,” Merrilee Fullerton said.

The MPP’s Constituency Office is located in Kanata South at 240 Michael Cowpland Drive. The office hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. People can reach MPP Fullerton by phone at (613) 599-3000 or via email at [email protected]
